Born in 1944 in Riverton, South Australia. Robert Hannaford is known most for his realist paintings, depicting; still life, landscape, urban scenes, people and places.
Essentially a self taught artist his work shows amazing skill and accuracy in capturing the world around him. In particular he is highly regarded as a portrait painter and has been a regular finalist in the Archibald Portrait Prize.
