South Australian born Margaret Preston was a champion of modern art and remains one of Australia’s most loved artists. Her familiar decorative woodblock prints, linocuts and paintings of still-life subjects and ‘aboriginal landscapes’ are among the most popular of all Australian works of art. This is a major retrospective exhibition organised by the Art Gallery of New South Wales which will tour nationally in 2005 and 2006.
