This show will be built around a major new acquisition of Commemorative Model, Peugeot Tai pan (Discontinued Line),1999 and promised gifts to the State Art Collection. Swallow’s sculptures implicate objects or experiences of his past without being nostalgic. They deliberately avoid any suggestion of time specificity. His work focuses on the passage of time, cultural and personal memories, redundant technologies and icons of contemporary popular culture.
