William Blake (1757-1827) is a highly important, yet enigmatic, figure in the history of British art. The State Art Collection has a copy of Blake’s ‘Book of Job’, an important set of etchings by Blake that has not been shown for many years. This artist in focus exhibition will feature this work, supplemented by key loans from other Australian galleries, to provide local audiences with a rare opportunity to see a number of works by this major historical artist.
