A solo exhibition comprised of more than fifteen large-scale abstract paintings and a related ephemeral installation. The artworks are derived from drawings; digital images and paintings produced around Australia and incorporate natural materials obtained from the site of inspiration such as ochre pigments, charcoal, resins and salt.
White describes his own work as reflecting his own interest in “expressive mark making, colour fields and minimalist compositionsâ€. This interest instils an emotional resonance in the works he produces which ultimately seek to move beyond the representational and capture a sense of place.
