Experimenta's Vanishing Point Video Jukebox

16 November - 17 December 2006
Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts
An exhibition that forms part of the 2006 Awesome Festival Artists.

Where can you see a parking lot turned into a play-pit or an office lift which distends bodies into viscous forms?

Experimenta's Vanishing Point Video Jukebox offers an international selection of visual delights where absurdity lurks around every corner, taking you by surprise with an ironic, humorous and sometimes gently mocking representation of the world around us. This strong line-up of innovators includes artists from Australia, Korea, France, New Zealand and the USA, showcasing their unique talents across a collection of works that range from the playful to the inquisitive and the downright strange.

Experimenta's Vanishing Point Video Jukebox is brought to you via PICA's Screen Space as part of the 2006 AWESOME International Ats Festival for Bright Young Things, proudly presented by Woodside Energy Ltd. The AWESOME Festival is a ten-day contemporary arts celebration for young people and their families. From Friday 17 to Sunday 26 November AWESOME audiences are invited to grab every opportunity to interact and participate in the events and exhibitions being presented at venues and public spaces throughout the Perth CBD.
