The legend of Australian bushranger Ned Kelly fascinated Sidney Nolan throughout his life. The exhibition Unmasked: Sidney Nolan and Ned Kelly 1950 – 1990 will explore in depth Nolan’s ongoing artistic engagement with the Kelly myth following his permanent departure from Australia in 1953.
This ground-breaking exhibition brings together for the first time a substantial number of these later Kelly works, presented in chronological sections and including more than 40 paintings and 25 works on paper.
