In association with Annandale Galleries the Holmes a Court Gallery presents new works from the Omie women of Oro Province in Papua New Guinea.
As in Australian Indigenous Art, the iconography and stories on which Omie art is based comes from a long history of ancestral past and ceremonial ritual. This is unique contemporary art from a living tradition, an art that is closely connected to nature.
