The Percival exhibition is the Gallery’s annual artists’ show for 2007. following a rich history of artists’ exhibitions developed by the Gallery, including the popular Perc’s Purses and Percival Vestments, The Percival exhibition focuses exclusively on the genre of portraiture.
Artists were invited to submit portraits of real people, people who have captured their interest and/or inspired them. It was expected that the subject of the work had sat for the artist at least once. The exhibition includes portraits of everyday people, local identities and self-portraits in the form of paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings.
Selected portraits from the Gallery’s collection will also be featured.
