His work is a contemporary realism and his inspiration is Australian culture and society referencing beach, city, and family culture. Bruce has been exhibition since 1983 and in 2000 he won the Pollock Krasner Award, awarded by the foundation in New York .He has exhibited in group exhibitions in Australia, NY, Tokyo, and China.
