In Blue Jay Way, Sydney artist Sue Pedley embraces the relationship between Heide Museum of Modern Art and the former home of artists Margo and Gerry Lewers that is now Penrith Regional Gallery and Lewers Bequest. Photographic cyanotypes and a trail of site specific sculptures in Heide’s Connie Kimberley Sculpture Park hint at the sounds heard in the gardens at Bulleen and at Penrith and, in Pedley’s words, ‘capture the spirit of the sixties: the Beatles, bird songs, concrete poetry, the era of plastic multiples, revolution and change.’
